Merrill Garbus – the dancer with bagpipe lungs, singer extra-ordinaire, brings her band Tune-Yards to the Biltmore this Friday for a live show, and Saturday to Sugar in Victoria, BC.  Crafty, cunning and sometimes coarse, the show is sure to deliver a positive insurgence from that energy she carries.  Garbus’ song “Fiya” is featured on a 2010 commercial for the Blackberry Torch, while the song “Gangsta” has been used in the television showsWeeds and The Good Wife.
