#Advertising: @oceanvillagebc takes over Vancouver Observer

Note: banner ad on top, and long-box ad along the mid-right side, plus the background is an Ocean Village beachscape.  They’ve taken over!

This is pretty effective from a visual standpoint.  Typically an ad would be placed in one spot, with all 3 ads conflicting and competing for attention.  Taking over the page with a harmonious colour scheme and 3 unique perspectives really entices the reader to escape the city news and take a quick trip to the beach, considering they’re occupying more than 25% of the screen.
